Shop Math I

The Basic Shop Math class presents math skills required for working in machine shops, manufacturing and industrial areas. The lessons will cover: common fractions and decimal fraction, percents, linear measurement, angular measurement, converting to metric, bolt circles, thread measurements, the Cartesian coordinate system, and trig functions.

Metal Trades Basic Blueprint Reading

The Metal Trades Basic Print Reading class is designed to develop or reinforce basic or introductory skills required for interpreting industrial prints. The lessons will cover: conventional lines, multi-view drawings or orthographic projection, abbreviations, dimensions, notes, symbols, sectional views, auxiliary views, pictorial sketching, tolerances, machining details, bolt circles, holes, threads and fasteners.
