Lockout/Tagout for Authorized Employee

This course will cover the OSHA standard 1910.147 and how to perform the responsibilities of an authorized person. An authorized employee is any employee within a company that has been assigned the duty of understanding and complying with OSHA standards for proper lockout/tagout. As an authorized person, you will be able to recognize hazardous energy sources, understand responsibilities to other employees, and control hazardous energy with lockout/tagout.

Hazard Communication

Hazard Communication means knowing about the possible dangers of the hazardous chemicals you use in your job and how to protect yourself against those hazards. The main objective of this course is to cover OSHA standard 1910.1200 and how to find the information you need to protect yourself and others by working safely.

Electrical Safety & Arc Flash

This course will discuss OSHA 1910.301 – 399 and NFPA 70E standards and hazards of electricity and how to prevent exposure to electrical hazards. By the end of the course, you will be able to understand the hazards of electricity, identify and avoid common electrical hazards, and follow safe work practices around electrical equipment.

General Safety for Skilled Labor

During this course we will discuss the OSHA standard on each topic. This course will cover lockout tagout, lifting and lifting hazards, ladder safety, hand power tool safety and hazards, electrical safety and arc flash, machine guarding and PPE (PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT). The main objective of this course for you, as skilled labor, is to understand OSHA standards; hazards of electricity and arc flash; be able to recognize hazardous energy sources and know the proper way to use lockout tagout; correct lifting techniques to avoid injuries; identify hand power tool hazards; the correct way to use a ladder safely and the hazards of using a ladder incorrectly; the importance of machine guarding and the hazards without it; how personal protective equipment can not only prevent injuries but how the use of PPE can save the company money.
